khalifa arabic words The meaning of the word caliph is the heir, the representative, the army chief. The khalifa is the Islamic religious and political leader, and the descendant of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Many people consider Khalifa as representative of Allah.

Abu Bakr's identity:

A prominent Companion of Muhammad (PBUH), one of the first Caliphs of Islam and one of the first Muslims. He was given the honor of first embracing Islam among adults. He was also the father-in-law of Rasul Muhammad (PBUH). After the death of Rasul Muhammad (PBUH) he became Caliph and led the Muslims.

Hadrat Omar's identity:

His personal name was 'Umar', 'Farooq' was his surname and Ibn al-Khattab was his family name. Born in Makkah to a high family of Quraish. He was a well-known businessman and he led trade delegations to Syria and Iraq.

Hazrat Umar (ra) was the second Caliph. of the Prophet (pbuh). During his caliphate, Muslims had to fight many wars against Iran, Iraq, Syria and Egypt. As a result, large areas of these countries came under Muslim rule.

The identity of Hadrat Usman ibn Affan:

Usman ibn Affan was the third Caliph of Islam. As a Caliph, he is one of four Khilafah Rashidun.

Ali ibn Abi Talib

The fourth and last Caliph of Islam. He was the son of Abu Talib. His mother's name is Fatima Bint Assad. Haqrat Ali was born in the Quraish tribe. From an early age, he was reared with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In the history of Islam, he was the first of the men to pray with the Prophet Muhammad. He was the first boy among the boys to respond to the call of the Prophet when he was only 10 years old and accepted Islam.
