Women's Rights in the Qur'an

Women's Rights in Islam

Islam guarantees the right of women. Islam has given the highest honor and security of women's lives and property. Islam has provided them security, taken care of their dignity, guaranteed their welfare.
The various verses and hadiths of the Qur'an contain clear descriptions of women's rights, dignity and their evaluation. The world has opened all sorts of paths for them to succeed in the Hereafter. Islam has ensured a beautiful and happy life for them.

Islam has given due respect to the role of women. With a little analysis and research, we will see how Islam has elevated the status of women as mothers, wives and daughters, or as professionals and in other fields.

1. Respect for motherhood:

Capitalist society has not given any respect and dignity to women's motherhood. And Islam has made women as mothers the most respected. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Paradise for the child under the feet of the mother."

2 . Criteria of Respect and Dignity:

In capitalist society, the criteria of respect and dignity of women is basically the physical beauty and financial establishment of women. And the measure of a woman's honor and dignity in Islamic society is her piety. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “This world and everything in it is valuable. But the most valuable thing is a virtuous woman. ” [Muslim]

3. Dignity of housework:

Capitalist society has neglected important work like housework of women. And Islam has given the dignity of jihad to the important responsibility of women in the home, giving birth and raising children. Basically, this is the basic and main job of a woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "You (women) take care of your children at home and this is jihad for you." [Musnad Ahmad]

4. Respect as a wife:

Islam has also given full respect and dignity to women as wives. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of you is the one who is better to his wife. And surely I am better than my wife. ” [Tirmidhi]

5. Respect for girls:

In this modern world controlled by capitalism, girls are still undesirable. But Islam has also considered raising a daughter as an act of worship. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever has a daughter and gives her a good education, Paradise is bound for her."

6. Respect for women at all levels:

Islam has encouraged people from all walks of life to treat women with respect. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Only honorable people treat women with respect. And those who are disrespectful, their treatment of women is also disrespectful. ” [Tirmidhi]

This is the dignity of women in Islam. And it is not like the prevailing values in today's world.
