Pillars of Islam.

The Pillars of Islam are five. One of these five issues is to become a believer by becoming a human being through true acceptance of one's verbal beliefs, beliefs and actions. Hazrat Abu Abdurrahman Abdullah bin Omar bin Khattab narrated from Radiullah Anhu, saying, "I have heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say that Islam has been laid on five poles." To testify that there is no god except Allah And Mohammad  (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. Establish prayer, collect zakat Doing Hajj in the house of Allah and fasting during Ramadan. [Bukhari and Muslim]

Allah Almighty has revealed the Qur'an as a way of life to conduct all activities from birth to death for the welfare of human beings. In this Qur'an, there is a discussion of various human issues from the beginning of the world to the Resurrection. Numerous events and issues including history and tradition have found a place. Moreover, many restrictions have been revealed on the necessity of human life. What is the secret behind declaring five things as pillars of Islam despite the revelation of many prohibitions? It is briefly highlighted-

According to the narrations of Bukhari and Muslim, there are five pillars of Islam. 1. Faith in Allah and His Messenger; 2. Establishing prayers; 3. To collect zakat; 4. Hajj and 5. Fasting. The reason they are limited to five parts is-

1. People will believe in obedience to Allah verbally, and the symbol of verbal belief is to bear witness to Tawheed and Prophethood.

2. Only then will man manifest his obedience to Allah and His Messenger through physical activity, and its symbol is prayer.

3-4. There is no substitute for money in performance. To maintain the purity and balance of money is to show obedience to God by spending money in the way. And that is to be done by paying Zakat and performing Hajj.

5. In order to prove one's obedience to God, one must abstain from certain actions as per His prohibitions. And its symbol is fasting.

The servant can show obedience to Allah only through these five things. That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) identified these five things as the pillars of Islam.

May Allah grant the Muslim Ummah the Tawfeeq to properly observe the five pillars of Islam through deeds that remain steadfast and unwavering in obedience to Him and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Amen.
